Project 1: Fettuccine truss bridge

Objectives:
- To develop understanding of tension and compression strenght of construction materials
- To develop understanding of force distribution in a truss
- To design a perfect truss bridge which fulfills a high level of aesthetic value and minimal      construction material caterias.





Learning Outcomes:

1. Able to evaluate, explore and improve attributes of construction materials
2. Explore and apply understanding of load distribution in a truss
3. Able to evaluate and identify tension and compression members in a truss structure
4. Explore different arrangement of members in a truss structure

Project 2: Extension of an RC structure


Objectives
1. To introduce the basic process of a building structures design process
2. To have a holistic experience including concept and structure layout design, building structure engineering considerations, structure members sizing and calculations, final report and presentation.






Learning Outcomes:
1. To produce a complete documentation on structural system of a case study
2. Explore and understand the concept of the structural analysis
3. Identification of structural components
4. Recognize, execute and implement basic procedures of a building design
5. Produce a structural proposal
